• When will Potrero Kids tours for the 2020-2021 admissions season be held?

Tours for the 2019-2020 admissions season have ended. Please check back here in September 2019 for a complete schedule of tours for the 2020-2021 admissions season.

Tours will be held at our PK3 location, which is located at 810 Illinois St (between 19th & 20th streets). Please note that parking can be tricky in the area, so please consider public transportation or give yourself ample time to find parking.

You will tour PK3's campus, which serves 2-5 year olds.  You will also hear about our program at our second campus, PKDW, on the campus of Daniel Webster Elementary School.

Completed applications must be received by December 31, 2019 to be considered for the 2020-21 school year.

  • How do I register for a tour?

A link to our online tour sign-ups will be available here in September 2019. Please note that tours are first come, first served.

  • What if I am unable to attend a tour?

Attending a tour does not positively or negatively impact your application status. Tours are an opportunity for families to see our PK3 campus and learn more about our program in an effort to aid in your decision-making process.

  • How many spots does PK enroll per year?

The number of spots we have on a given year depends on a variety of factors including sibling priority, Eastern Neighborhood live/work priority, gender, age, part time/full time space and diversity. Currently, our Potrero Kids at Daniel Webster (PKDW) campus accommodates 32 children, age 4-5. Our PK3 campus accomodates 67 children, ages 2, 3 and 4. For more information on our admissions process, please see our admissions timeline.

If you are no longer interested in the program or if your preference for part time or full time enrollment has changed, please email us at admissions@potrerokids.org so we can note that on your application.

  • Are there any spaces available for this current year of 2018-19?

There may be opportunity for enrollment throughout the year. Once you complete an application you are automatically added to our waitpool. If a spot opens up throughout the year, we contact families from the waitpool on an individual, as needed basis.

Many thanks for your interest. We look forward to meeting you on a PK3 Tour or during admissions interviews.
